Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bid Manager to join our business development team at Corndel. This new position is an exceptional opportunity for an individual to establish and lead the bid management process within our organisation.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in elevating the quality of our written tenders, win more business, and extend the impact of our market-leading professional development programmes to thousands more learners.
The Bid Manager will be instrumental in driving our growth and expanding our footprint in the industry, with particular focus on large private sector clients and prominent public sector organisations, including the NHS and central government departments.
As Bid Manager, you will, you will be responsible for:
- Bid Process Establishment and Leadership: Design and implement robust bid management processes and systems from the ground up, including use of generative AI and other technologies, ensuring they are scalable and aligned with our strategic objectives.
- Tender Analysis and Response: Take charge of analysing tender documents, understanding client requirements, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to develop tailored, persuasive responses.
- Bid Writing: Lead on the production of high scoring written responses, including use of generative AI tools to increase efficiency and quality.
- Quality Control and Continuous Improvement: Maintain the highest standards of quality in all proposals, including adherence to client specifications and regulatory compliance. Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance bid content and presentation.
- Strategic Planning: Work closely with the business development team to identify tender opportunities that align with our strategic goals, managing and monitoring tender opportunities via the relevant portals. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to optimise our bid strategy.
- Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders both within and outside the organisation, including sales, marketing, operations, senior management, technical experts, and external partners, to ensure a collaborative approach to tender submissions.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of the bid process, win rates, and feedback from clients, using these insights to drive continuous improvement.
