Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Senior Family Support Worker for a local authority based in Ilford. In this role, you will lead and support a team of Family Support Workers, ensuring effective interventions and assessments that meet the needs of vulnerable families in the community.

Key Duties:

  • Supervise and support a team of six Family Support Workers.
  • Oversee and guide assessments to identify priority family needs.
  • Deliver and coordinate targeted interventions for vulnerable families.
  • Respond to local community needs and support early help initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff in a support setting.
  • Background in family support, social care, or early help services.
  • Proven ability to complete assessments and deliver interventions.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and multi-agency working.

What's on offer:

  • Salary: £23+ph (may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience)
  • Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
