We are looking for someone with strong hands-on industrial laboratory skills and experience in any of the following: HPLC, GC, GC-MS and/or ICP, and is ready for a new challenge with excellent development opportunities. The Role:
- Overseeing analysis using Chromatography and ICP
- Preparing and analysing samples for our clients using a variety of instruments including: HPLC/UV/ECD, GC, GC-MS, IC and ICP
- Reporting analytical results and cross checks as required and in line with lab operating procedures
- Checking and authorising reports written by Laboratory Analysts
- Completing routine laboratory support functions as part of the wider team including general housekeeping, apparatus cleaning and maintenance
- Troubleshooting and problem solving where required
- Following the company quality system requirements including compliance with ISO 17025 (UKAS Accredited)
Requirements:
- Relevant scientific degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a similar field
- Experience of running HPLC, GC, GC-MS or ICP instrumentation within a commercial lab
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience of working efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Experience of a range of ICT including Microsoft Office and databases
- Punctual, reliable and aims for high standards in their work
- Works well as part of a small team
- Supervisory experience or delegating workloads would be beneficial but not essential
