Location: Manchester | Type: Full-time | Hybrid Role

I'm recruiting on behalf of an award-winning Microsoft Gold Partner that delivers IT support and consultancy services across a wide range of industries. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Field Engineer to join a dynamic team, working both on-site with clients and home-based working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure including servers, SANs, firewalls, routers, wireless etc.
  • Deliver support via phone, email, remote tools, and on-site visits
  • Maintain accurate service desk records and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and assist team members with workload management
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and contribute to service improvements
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards for quality and security

There will be a requirement to work from the Manchester city centre office when required but generally will be either working from home, or supporting their main customers with recurring site visits around Manchester City Centre.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within an IT Field role, preferably within IT Managed Services
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Windows OS, and virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, firewalls, switching, wireless)
  • Excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle
