Role – Environmental Health Officer – Food Safety

Duration – 6 month contract with potential extension for more

Location – South East of England

Rate – DOE p/h Umbrella

A local authority client of mine, based in the South East of England are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer specializing in Food Safety to join their team for 6 months with a likelihood of extension.

The majority of the work will be primarily to carry out the enforcement of food safety (including hygiene and standards), and health and safety legislation in (primarily higher risk) food businesses, investigation of complaints and food borne illnesses, and supporting food businesses to improve. You will be expected to complete inspection reports, establish and allocate food hygiene ratings and prepare schedules of work for food business operators.

This role offers very flexible working patterns on a hybrid basis.
