Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer will include:

  • Managing all aspects of electrical design for projects.
  • Producing and managing project-specific design deliverables.
  • Interpreting and understanding client requirements through specifications, drawings, and correspondence.
  • Communicating with clients, subcontractors, and external design resources to ensure specification compliance.
  • Conducting site surveys and feasibility studies for existing assets.
  • Preparing procurement specifications and detailed design construction drawings.
  • Managing third-party designs and supporting installation and commissioning teams.
  • Preparing and updating drawings, including single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment specifications.
  • Recording and documenting design changes through to completion and issuing As-Built documents.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-8 years of real-world electrical design experience.
  • Relevant electrical qualification or time-served experience.
  • Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.
