Design Engineer – Medical Simulation Products | Bristol | Up to £40k

My client, a global leader in medical simulation technology, is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their innovative product development team in Bristol. With a £30M turnover and ambitious growth plans, this is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge medical training devices.

Location : Bristol City Centre (BS2), near Temple Meads Pattern: Office-based with 1 day WFH per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new medical simulation products from prototype to production
  • Create and manage CAD files and documentation using Solidworks
  • Produce high-quality working prototypes and manage their testing
  • Work collaboratively with project leads and engineering teams
  • Create detailed product specifications and assembly instructions
  • Liaise with external suppliers and in-house tooling teams
  • Contribute to product evaluation and modification processes
  • Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new product development

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years' product development experience
  • Strong Solidworks CAD proficiency
  • Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or Design Engineering
  • Proven track record in solving complex design challenges
  • Creative approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and visualization skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Experience working with manufacturing teams and suppliers
  • Ability to work to deadlines and specifications
