Junior Frontend Developer – Climate Finance Transition – Hybrid – £50k

Venchr's long standing client, is looking for a talented & well cultured Frontend Developer, skilled in React. This fantastically cultured Climate-Tech Start-Up, is currently providing Climate Intelligence for ESG professionals – powered by incredible technology, climate scientists, economists, and policy makers.

You will develop deep knowledge in creating decision -useful frontend systems to shift trillions towards climate solutions. Our models are deployed for executive-level contacts at multinational asset managers and financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive development of an intuitive frontend enabling investors understand climate risks.
  • Be opinionated about design and UI tools, and obsessed with user experience.
  • Work closely with the product management team to understand, rapidly prototype and implement customer frontend requirements and suggestions.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI designs.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and develop solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Keep up to date with latest developments in React and UI design, and provide recommendations for new technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree or professional experience in computer science, software development, or frontend engineering.
  • 1-3 years experience coding in Javascript or Typescript (preferable) and at least one React framework.
  • Experience with and opinions on working with multiple component libraries.
  • Familiarity with Figma or equivalent design tooling.
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, MongoDB).
  • (Desirable) Intermediate knowledge of a second language — Rust or Python.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
