Job Title: Business Development Executive Apple Recruitment are thrilled to be working with our client in seeking a Business Development Executive to join their team in Newtownabbey. Position Overview: An established and rapidly growing company within the construction and civil engineering sector is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Executive. This role is focused on driving business growth within the onshore and offshore construction and civils markets. You will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and cultivating relationships with potential clients while maintaining strong connections with existing clients to stimulate business expansion. The role is primarily office-based in Newtownabbey, with an emphasis on telesales initially. While there may be some travel involved as the role evolves, we are looking for candidates who are comfortable with a predominantly office-based environment at this stage. Key Responsibilities: Research and identify potential clients and key decision-makers in the construction and civils sector, both onshore and offshore. Develop and execute strategic plans to engage new clients and expand business opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with clients through regular communication, meetings, and offering tailored solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of services and offerings with client requirements. Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients. Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth. Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives set by the company. Prepare and submit proposals, quotations, and necessary documentation to secure business, with support from the marketing team. Attend networking opportunities, including industry conferences and events. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field (not essential). Proven track record in business development, ideally in the construction and civil engineering industry (though relevant experience in other sectors will be considered). Understanding of construction and civil engineering processes, technologies, and market trends is advantageous. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to travel as needed. Resident of the UK.
