The Corporate Procurement Team are seeking an enthusiastic and driven team player to join and enhance their busy department. This is an exciting opportunity to assist in the council's professional category management approach to procurement to ensure that goods, services and works are procured in a cost effective and efficient manner, in accordance with corporate policies and guidelines.
You must be a team player who can demonstrate that you can work autonomously when required. You must possess excellent ICT skills and have an understanding of the tendering process and the systems to procurement.
Knowledge of the waste and recycling market would be beneficial along with the understanding of applying social value and net zero principles into procurement projects. An understanding of the legislative and regulatory framework for procurement is desirable.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post. Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. A valid driving licence is a requirement for this post.
The council's Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
