About us: Retail Insights is Northern Europe’s leading retail forum. We are strengthening the retail ecosystem by building a platform for insights, inspiration, and networking, connecting more than 3,000 leaders yearly from over 15 countries. Retail Insights is part of United Media, which focuses on building large-scale industry media and conference products across sectors such as insurance, HR, private equity, retail, etc. To date, we have organically launched 8 media companies and acquired one.

What we offer you: As our Chief Editor, you will have the unique opportunity to help build the greatest brand within Insurtech. We will provide ownership of our magazines to encourage you to push beyond your comfort zone. You will be working out of our HQ in London, and to support your growth, we offer:

Your Responsibilities: Your main goal will be to build the leading physical magazine, which involves:

  • Researching industry-related topics and story ideas thoroughly.
  • Interviewing relevant individuals.
  • Copywriting, editing, and proofreading content for our magazines.
  • Overseeing the magazine's construction, including photos, design, and artwork, with support from our Graphic Designer.

What we expect from you: You should have an outstanding work ethic, a high sense of urgency, relentless drive, and a desire to excel. You take ownership of your work, are proactive, and follow through on commitments. Humility and a passion for building and executing new businesses are also essential. Specifically, we expect that you:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree with excellent results, preferably in journalism, communications, marketing, English, or a related field.
  • Have over 5 years of proven experience in a magazine or media company with outstanding performance.
  • Possess a UK work permit.
  • Have exceptional writing, editing, and creative skills.
  • Have an exceptional attention to detail.
  • Are well-organized and capable of structuring and prioritizing your work.

Start date: Flexible. We work from our office next to Victoria Station Monday through Friday; remote work is not offered.
