Job Summary:
Remedy Education is currently looking for SEN Daily Supply Teaching Assistants to join a supportive and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Southwark, working within a specialized unit supporting students with severe autism, ADHD, physical disabilities (including wheelchair users), and personal care needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) develop vital life skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential in a nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with complex needs in 1:1 and small group settings
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and feeding
- Help deliver life skills and sensory-focused learning activities
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider SEN team
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting SEN students, particularly with autism, ADHD, and physical disabilities
- Comfortable with personal care duties
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
