We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified water industry repair and maintenance team to join us at Gcb utilities ltd. The successful team will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance and installation tasks on water infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing sector, contributing to ensuring safe, clean and reliable water services for our customers and clients.
The role requires candidates who have a strong understanding of water industry standards, procedures and the ability to work effectively in both a team or individually. There is potential for overnight stays as we are nationwide. You will be expected to operate a variety of equipment and tools safely, complete tasks efficiently and ensure compliance with water industry standards.
Key responsibilities:- Carry out maintenance, repairs and installation of water infrastructure
- Maintain accurate records of work being completed
- Comply with all industry health and safety
- Provide excellent customer service
- Water hygiene card (EUSR)
- SHEA water
- NRSWA (National Roadworks Safety Awareness)
- Cat and genny
- First aid
- Moling
- Abrasive wheels
- Manual handling
- Full clean driving licence (1 member of the team)
- Ability to complete quality reinstatements of tarmac, flags and concrete to highway specifications
- Ability to read and understand utility drawings and maps
- Ability to pass a DBS check
