Based in central London, this is a brand which is at the beginning of their journey and represents an incredible opportunity in a category which is crying out for innovation! The scope is huge and tremendously exciting when you delve into the data and what has already been achieved on the other side of the pond!

As Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for leading the function and oversee the function as it has recently transferred its production from EMEA to the UK. This role is unique – yes you will be on the SLT reporting to founders and leading the function with your strategic hat on, but you will also be tasked with rolling up your sleeves, managing 3PL, production, COGS projects, and wider operational duties. Whilst in bigger business there is a person for every little area – in this business nothing will be out of your remit, but there is a workforce that you will support and muck in with when needed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operational and Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and execute the operational strategy to achieve the 3 year commercial objectives relating to price, products, legal, and operational capabilities.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage the Head of Operations, Senior Product Development Manager, and the Operations Manager, providing direction, guidance, and support in executing their responsibilities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Oversee and ensure the business’s adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Ensure that operational processes are compliant.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation, set the product improvement, and innovation roadmap. You have to have a self-starter mentality and be someone who wants to run at full speed!

The ideal candidate:

  • Will have over a handful of years in operations in a leadership capacity.
  • Understanding of COGS, development processes, and managing co-manufacturing.
  • Have the ability to inspire, have strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset to problem solve
  • Be comfortable working with and in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in operational systems, project management tools, and data driven decision making.
