A truly amazing opportunity to join one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the world, to manage some of the biggest and most complex areas of spend.
This person will be engaging across multiple regions world wide, from UK, EU, USA, Australia and so on. The main focus of this role, with the need of really strategic, forward thinking procurement will be across FM & Real Estate spend, with some ad-hoc Marketing and Travel projects.
In order to be suitable for this role, you will be a confident negotiator, strategic thinker, strong influential skills and able to manage senior stakeholders at a senior level, in the UK and different regions.
Role and responsibilities:
- Reporting into the Global Head of Procurement, who has transformed the procurement function over the past number of years
- Create relevant category strategies through to the delivery and performance including year on year annualised savings
- Develop category plans and strategies to ensure alignment for the group, leveraging suppliers to support local offices
- Support the development of category strategies to a clear and prioritised pipeline of sourcing projects
- Engage, manage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to ensure buy-in, utilising strong market knowledge
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a rounded knowledge of a suppliers performance
- Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and business feedback
- Be a Procurement role model by living company values, consistently delivering to the high standards expected, promoting procurement through relationships
- On top over delivering strategic projects, ensure the business is getting the best service in line with cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
- Worked for a large, complex business ideally within the Professional & Financial Services Sectors
- Category experience in FM and Real Estate is a must for this position
- Any other services spend across Marketing or Travel is a nice to have
- Ability to engage, negotiate and influence senior stakeholders up to Director level+
- Strong stakeholder management, using different approaches to type, level and maturity of relationship
- Analytical mindset and have strong communication skills to present ideas to the business
- Worked in a large and cross-functional procurement team
- MCIPS qualification nice to have, but not essential
