Business Architect – Telecommunications and Utilities

Location: Bristol

Rate: £550-£660 per day (outside IR35)

Duration: 6 months

Hybrid. 2 to 3 days on site per week.

Telecommunications or utilities experience is essential.

About the Role:

An international telecommunications organisation is seeking an experienced Business Architect to join their team for a energy project in a large, regulated construction environment. You will work for the organisation on a project with a renowned international energy company.

The organisation requires a Business Architect who is an expert business analyst who has proven experience in the telecommunications or utilities sector.

You will work alongside senior management using your business analyst expertise to ensure solutions are created that effectively and efficiently deliver a successful business operations model.

You will play a critical role in supporting the formulation, direction and delivery of Business Architecture projects. You will report into the CIO and deliver architecture solutions.

Knowledge & Skills:

Essential:

  • Expertise in driving successful business architecture change within complex, dynamic environments.
  • Deep knowledge of business process analysis and design, utilising modelling and collaborative tools.
  • Exceptional workshop facilitation and interview skills, with strengths in negotiation, influence, mediation, and conflict resolution.

Desirable:

  • Comprehensive understanding of standard methods and techniques, with the ability to adapt approaches to specific assignments.
  • Proven strategic investigative and analytical skills, employing diverse analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with nuclear, safety-critical, or asset-intensive industries.

Experience:

  • Qualifications and experience in Business Architecture disciplines, such as process management, business analysis, data management, or IT system development.
  • Knowledge of ONR license conditions, ONR (CNS) requirements, and their impact on Business Architecture IT Services.
  • Experience delivering large-scale architecture projects in complex environments.
  • Proficiency in formal project management methodologies like Prince2.
  • A strong track record in developing business cases and managing stakeholder expectations.
