A business that has been in operation for a century with nostalgic brands and some phenomenal new success stories across retail are looking at their next stage of growth. They have already invested significant capex in a new factory, further warehousing & infrastructure. In the last 3 years they have grown immensely, delivering significant profit which has led to this self funded, seven figure investment keeping this business debt free. They also have acquired a new brand which is why we are in the market for a new National Account Manager, to talk to their current customers, Starbucks, Cafe Nero, Dunkin and more and drive new business growth across the portfolio!

The Role

National Account Manager

This is dynamic business development and account management role in this businesses recently acquired brand! There is plenty of scope over the coming 12-18 months to grow this significantly in line with the wider portfolio.

Your customer responsibility will be across, End User/On Trade with the likes of Starbucks, Cafe Nero, Dunkin, Leisure groups or restaurants with full responsibility for P&L, reporting, senior relationship contact ownership & JBPs. You will report to the Head of OOH and work closely with the marketing, operations and NPD functions to recommend best in class category growth decisions for customers alongside business objectives.

  • Full strategic responsibility for customers

  • Close cross functional work with Marketing, NPD & Ops teams

About You

To be successful we need a passionate team player who exudes positivity and a can do attitude. This is a business focused on strong values and sustained growth so the focus on doing the right thing is a must. You will already have a strong background in large branded consumer business and have experienced commercial customer account ownership and new business/npd sell ins or wins.

Food & Beverage experience is essential here. This is a business of foodies who have some of the most fantastic products in their categories sold to Tesco and Michelin starred restaurants. Category data and insight led working is key to continuing the customer success story they have here too and remember this is not a big business its more like a start up in nature, agility, speed and being able to don more than one hat is key here.

  • Experience in a sales, retail buying or customer facing marketing role
  • FMCG big business or large branded training background
  • Business growth experience
  • Experience of food or beverages is essential
  • Positive team player
  • Strong relationship skills, both internally and externally to entice people
  • SME mindset – don multiple hats.
