Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager / ARC Signatory

Reporting to: Continuing Airworthiness Manager

Description:

Act as Deputy to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAMO Post Holder), overseeing CAMO activities primarily at Biggin Hill Airport and across all sites.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the CAM in meeting Part-CAMO, IOM, and OTAR requirements.
  • Oversee the fleet's continuing airworthiness activities as per CAME procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative and company procedures.
  • Perform airworthiness reviews for ARC recommendation/issue/extension.
  • Support AMP development and approvals for variations.
  • Review airworthiness data, including ADs, SBs, and modifications.
  • Respond to audit findings and ensure CAMO staff qualifications.
  • Liaise with Operations and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee CAMO team support across all sites.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Part CAMO, Part 145, and SMS.
  • Experience with MORs, Safety Management Systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proactive with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Aerotrac.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Part 66 licensed engineer or relevant aeronautical degree with 5+ years in continuing airworthiness or 10+ years of related experience.
  • Eligible as ARC Signatory.

Additional Requirements:

  • DBS and SC clearance eligibility.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with CAMO management software and aircraft fleet technical documentation.
  • Completed Part CAMO/Part 145 training and General Familiarisation Courses.
