We are looking for an Assistant Technical Manager who will work closely with the Technical Director. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is currently working as a Specification Technologist or Technical professional and who is ready to take a step into a broader role.
The Technical Manager will manage internal and external specification requirements, review packaging copy, and ensure accuracy across product information, a role where attention to detail and proactive thinking are essential.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing all internal and external customer own-brand specifications
- Producing back-of-pack content
- Reviewing and signing off artwork with the Technical and Brand teams
- Maintaining product data across systems and platforms
- Supporting allergen management and validations
- Preparing for and managing audits and internal reviews
- Participating as an active member of the HACCP team
- Deputising for the Technical Director when required
What you'll bring:
- A relevant qualification in Food Science or a related subject
- Experience in a technical or specification-based role within food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of packaging and labeling requirements
- Confidence working with internal teams and external partners
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Good IT skills across Microsoft Office
- Experience working with large retailers would be an advantage
