Portfolio Manager

Industrial & Utility Scale Solar – Hybrid Working – Career Development Opportunities

The Opportunity:

We are working with one of the leading Solar operators across not only the UK but also Europe to support their continued growth in the UK business unit.

Our client is looking for a Portfolio Manager to help contribute to the rapid growth of their UK operations. Focussing primarily on management activities related to fulfilling contract requirements, ensuring the efficiency and long-term performance of our photovoltaic systems.

In your new role you will be responsible for:

  • Schedule Management: Prepare and manage weekly schedules for engineers to meet preventive and corrective maintenance obligations.
  • Call Out Coordination: Daily assessment of email alerts from the monitoring team and coordination of field engineer call-outs to ensure timely response.
  • Contract Management: Ensure all operational and maintenance contract obligations are met.
  • Budget Management: Create and manage budgets for minor construction projects, corrective maintenance, and site improvements.
  • Work Order Management: Create and manage work orders for field service engineers based on alerts and maintenance requirements, ensuring detailed reporting and follow-up.
  • Reporting: Prepare monthly technical reports on asset performance and activities, along with additional reports for warranty and insurance claims.
  • Client Liaison: Maintain strong client communication, create quotes, and coordinate site activities with internal and external resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the solar industry within a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of solar monitoring systems.
  • Understanding of HSE & CDM regulations
