You will be acting for national and international companies and contractors, and the matters you will deal with are highly significant and complex. As part of one of the largest unique teams in the world, our people have the support they need to deliver excellence.
Role and key responsibilities
We have an Excellent, technical, Senior Associate role in which you will play an integral part:
- Acting for a wide range of national and international clients, mainly within the Energy and Infrastructure sectors as well as the traditional built environment.
- Providing strategic and commercial legal advice on major energy, infrastructure, and development projects.
- Handling your own caseload and providing support and guidance to more junior lawyers within the team.
- Working with your colleagues across the national/international team to help develop growth areas for the team.
Skills and experience
Are you an experienced construction lawyer who wants to specialise in contentious matters and work within a thriving international team:
- You will be 4+pqe in contentious construction law ideally, non-contentious will be considered.
- Strong technical skills -through working on high-value construction and engineering disputes, with the ability to:
- interpret and apply construction and engineering contracts with practical and beneficial effects.
- understand complex legal arguments and subtle interpretation differences and explain the law clearly and concisely.
- devise strategies for the avoidance/resolution of disputes arising on construction and engineering projects.
- A “can do” attitude, willingness to go the extra mile to ensure client needs are met.
- A highly organised, meeting key dates and juggling the demands of a busy workload.
