Infrastructure & Network Architect | Defence Company | Stevenage (1-2 days per week in the office) | SC Clearance Required | 12 Month Contract (Extensions Likely) | Up to £75 per hour (Inside IR35)
MERITUS are working with an expanding defence company based in Stevenage. They're looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Network Architect to join their Infrastructure Division.
The successful candidate will join an experienced team working on the design, build & architecture of complex, secure server & network infrastructure as part of a wide scale digital transformation. To be successful you will need a strong technical background in Infrastructure / Network engineering as well as demonstrable experience in the design / architecture of secure systems. Active SC Clearance is required (DV would be a bonus).
The role is hybrid with 1-2 days per week in the Stevenage office.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end server & network infrastructure solutions that align with business goals.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and senior leaders to understand project requirements, business needs, and constraints.
- Ensure the designed solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
- Coordinate and collaborate with developers, engineers, and other IT teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
Required Skills:
- Strong technical background in server & network infrastructure engineering i.e. Windows Server, VMware, Cisco products, routing & switching & Firewalls.
- Demonstrable experience in the architecture / design of secure infrastructure solutions.
- Previous experience in secure / regulated industries i.e. Aerospace, Defence / national Security.
- Active SC security clearance (DV would be a bonus).
