Job Description
We are excited to welcome an enthusiastic Transport Administrator to our team. This role consists of working within the transport team completing the administrative tasks required. This will consist of several tasks, from scanning pods & documents, inputting drivers time sheets, answering customer related queries and communicating with drivers in a timely manner, creating & updating jobs in TMS and responding to e-mails etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organising: Completing daily transport administration tasks, raising POs, scanning and filing of transport information.
- Freight Management: Ensuring timings and information of TMS jobs are entered into the internal systems and that they are up to date.
- Driver Management: Daily debriefs for drivers.
- Resource Utilisation: Maximising the use of resources to ensure scanning and filing are accurate.
- Communication: Handling queries via email, phone, and face-to-face.
- KPI Production: Assisting in the production of KPIs and daily statistics.
- Team Collaboration: Promoting positive relationships and offering support.
Required Experience:
- Previous administration: Previous experience working within the Transport and Logistics industry is desirable.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Organisation: Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
- Time keeping: Attention to detail is critical and working to deadlines daily.
- Working style: Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- Computer literate: MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
