Occupational Therapist – Term Time – Specialist School

Location: Sandbach, Cheshire

Salary: £36,500 + £44,000 DOE including paid school holidays

Remit

Compass Associates is working with a leading provider of specialist children’s services, to recruit a term-time only, Occupational Therapist for a new specialist school in Cheshire which is opening in Spring 2025.

You’d be based at purpose-built day school where you’d work with children and young people, aged 8 – 16, who have a range of backgrounds including learning disabilities, autism, SEMH needs, ADHD and speech, language and communication needs. Your role will involve carrying out assessments, formulating therapy plans and delivering 1:1 and group therapy sessions. You’ll be working with the wider MDT which will include Psychologists, SALTs, Therapists, Therapy Assistants, Teaching and Support Staff.

This is an exciting opportunity as you’d be part of a newly established Therapy Team, that is based at the state-of-the-art, purpose built school.

Essential criteria

  • Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience working with children who have autism, learning disabilities and SEMH needs
