We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Project Coordinator to support the delivery of both development and infrastructure projects within a dynamic insurance environment. This role is vital in ensuring project activities are well-organized, timelines are tracked, and communication flows seamlessly between teams and stakeholders. This will be an initial 12 month FTC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor project tasks across development and infrastructure initiatives.
- Maintain project documentation including plans, status reports, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and meeting minutes.
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings, ensuring follow-ups and action tracking.
- Support resource allocation, tracking of deliverables, and timelines.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., software development, IT infrastructure, security) and external vendors.
- Assist in preparing dashboards, progress updates, and stakeholder reports.
- Identify and escalate project risks or issues to the Project Manager.
- Help manage project tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar.
- Support compliance with IT governance and change management processes.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 2–4 years of experience in IT project coordination or support.
- Exposure to both software development (Agile/Waterfall) and IT infrastructure projects (e.g., networks, servers, cloud).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficient with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Trello).
- Experience in the insurance or broader financial services sector is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ITIL, SDLC, or DevOps is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
