HGV Class 2 driver wanted - £15.00 per hour - Immediate Start. Join Pure Staff and take on a fantastic opportunity with our long-term, reliable client in Wakefield. We have partnered with this client since 2017, with many of our drivers successfully moving into frequent work. This is your chance to get part-time temporary ADHOC work representing a large-scale customer delivering across the UK.

Your role as an HGV Class 2 driver

  • 5-10 drops daily: deliver palletised general haulage to local and regional destinations.
  • Efficient & safe deliveries: ensure timely, accurate deliveries while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Offloading: using tail-lift and pump truck to safely unload palletised deliveries.
  • Communication: keep in regular contact with the depot and clients to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience as an HGV Class 2 driver.
  • Full in-date CPC, tachograph card, and driving licence.
  • Must have held an HGV Class 2 licence for at least 2 years.
  • Good attention to detail: ensuring safe loading and unloading of goods.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and confidence on the road.
  • No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
  • Willing to complete an online induction prior to starting work.

Pay & benefits

  • £14.00 per hour (Monday to Friday) + holiday entitlement.
