The National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) supports culture change in the UK higher education (HE) sector. We are working to build an inclusive higher education sector where communities can contribute to, and benefit from, knowledge, teaching and research. We do this by supporting excellent public engagement practice; creating the conditions for public engagement to thrive in universities; and building strong networks and partnerships to amplify our impact.

As Senior Project Manager (Projects) you will play a critical role within the NCCPE, leading our portfolio of externally funded projects. You will ensure that our projects are delivered to budget and to time and support the development of bids for new work as opportunities arise. Reporting to the Co-Directors, you will work closely with the entire senior team and NCCPE's wider staff to deliver excellent outcomes for the Centre and its clients. You will also represent the NCCPE externally, contributing to a range of events, advisory groups and networks to promote the NCCPE's work and provide thought leadership.

This will be a varied and interesting role, so come and join our friendly, busy team based at 4, Portwall Place in central Bristol and help unlock the potential of universities to make a positive difference to society.

About you

You will be an experienced project manager, able to manage the delivery of a portfolio of projects, ensuring they are delivered to the NCCPE's quality standards. You will be able to manage all elements of a project including ensuring it is adequately planned and resourced, that budgets are well managed, that reporting requirements are met and risks identified and mitigated. You will have a strong track record of developing and maintaining business relationships, enjoy acting as a key contact point for commissioners, clients and partners, and be able to facilitate networks and offer thought leadership as part of promoting NCCPE's work externally. Working with the Directors, you will be able to identify new project opportunities and contribute to the development of bids and proposals to secure project income for the Centre. You will enjoy contributing to decision making as part of the senior team in NCCPE and helping the wider team thrive and grow.
