As part of their next phase of strategic expansion, we are looking for a qualified Locum Pharmacist to join their team in a multi-site, Area Manager-style role.
This is not your typical locum role. You’ll be a high-impact, roaming Pharmacist, supporting their existing branches across Essex and surrounding areas. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll play a critical part in improving operational performance, leading service delivery, optimising stock management, and ensuring exceptional patient care at every location you support.
Whether stepping in for absence cover, assessing site-level efficiencies, or mentoring pharmacy teams, this is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, experienced Pharmacist ready to shape pharmacy operations on a larger scale.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, efficient, and compliant dispensing services across a variety of pharmacy branches.
- Proactively implement and champion ‘just in time’ stock control policies to minimise waste and ensure optimal inventory across branches.
- Support the roll-out and enhancement of pharmacy services, including NHS and private clinical services.
- Act as a liaison between branch teams and senior management, ensuring open communication and accountability.
- Drive consistency in SOPs, compliance standards, and GPhC guidelines across sites.
- Deliver hands-on support during staff absence, operational challenges, or audits.
- Assist in mentoring and developing pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
- Collaborate with Area and Head Office teams on performance reviews, KPI monitoring, and service development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of visits, stock observations, and team support activities.
