Are you a Part Qualified Management Accountant looking for a new challenge? Do you want to join a business where you can progress as you study further? Our client is a large manufacturer based in Preston who are looking for a PQ Management Accountant to join the finance team and produce the month end management reporting pack. The role offers the candidate a chance to progress as they look to qualify in the next 12 months, with a supportive team who can offer support for your professional growth. You will gain experience of both financial and commercial reporting and exposure to the Board of Directors.
Within this role as PQ Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Producing monthly management accounts and provide commentary for the finance leadership team.
- Monitoring the accuracy of the transactional processing and associated reconciliations.
- Compiling expenditure reports and working with departments to set budgets.
- Monitoring the stock control, movements and levels with tight controls and develop accountability.
- Developing the KPI reporting suite with particular focus on product trends, margin reporting and trends while successfully reporting on the variances.
- Accruals/Prepayments.
- Completing bank reconciliations and monitoring the cashflow forecasting on a weekly basis.
- Experience of working with an ERP system.
Although your role will be mainly focused on finance, you will also be involved across the site in developing the accountability of expenditure and cost management with decision makers. We are happy to consider candidates who are QBE or a studier of CIMA/ACCA who is at the later stages of study, however you must be able to demonstrate previous experience within manufacturing/engineering and associated month-end reporting routines.
