In this Audit Senior job in Taunton, you will:
- Work closely with the Audit Manager to oversee audit assignments for a wide range of clients
- Take ownership of engagements, providing support from planning to completion
- Mentor junior team members and build strong client relationships
Role Responsibilities:
- Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with ISAs and relevant regulations
- Preparing and reviewing audit plans, conducting risk assessments, and determining effective audit approaches
- Conducting fieldwork, analysing financial data, and assessing clients’ internal controls to identify areas of audit risk
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, and delivering exceptional service
- Reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant standards
- Supervising and mentoring junior audit staff, delegating tasks effectively, and reviewing their work
- Presenting audit findings and recommendations to clients, offering insights into potential financial and operational improvements
- Staying up-to-date with developments in accounting standards, audit regulations, and best practices

Candidate Requirements:
- In the final stages of ACA or ACCA qualification (or recently qualified)
- 2-4 years of audit experience within the UK
- Solid knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting frameworks
- Proven ability to manage client engagements and lead audit teams
- Charity audit experience (preferred but not essential)
