Are you a CAD Engineer looking for your next opportunity? I’m currently representing a leading Manufacturing company based in Wolverhampton and they’re looking for a CAD Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. They are hiring as they are in growth mode and have multiple projects coming up.
Position: CAD Engineer
Type: Permanent
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 9am – 5pm, Friday: 9am – 4.30pm

Job Description
- Technical & Design Responsibilities: Review specifications, produce accurate drawings, understand software and product range, and deliver compliant, high-quality designs across the company’s portfolio.
- Project & Contract Management: Clarify responsibilities, understand contractual elements and legislative standards, negotiate price variations, and manage major projects independently. Liaise with clients and internal/external parties, confirm proposals via detailed correspondence, and provide responsive support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Attend meetings/site visits confidently, support colleagues, cover for supervisors, and train new starters to uphold team performance. Prioritise workload under pressure, uphold high customer service standards, and be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings when required.
Essential Experience:
- 1+ years’ experience within a CAD Package (AutoCAD is ideal but not essential as long as you have experience within a CAD package).
- Good communication skills, able to converse with a diverse range of people ranging from customers to sub-contractors and other trades.
