Senior Mechanical Design Engineer needed to join a world-class, organically growing engineering company based near Winchester. My client is looking to expand their current team due to continued success and the acquisition of new projects.
The successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will have experience of hand calcs and / or FEA techniques and will ideally have experience designing special purpose machinery (SPM), bespoke machinery, process plant, pharmaceutical machinery, packaging machinery, material handling equipment or similar., * Good engineering calculations ability. (Hand calcs, MathCAD, Ansys, FEA experience)

Experience working in the Defence, Nuclear Medical, Pharmaceutical, Medical, Nuclear, Sub-sea, Oil & Gas or a similar highly regulated industry.

Must have at least 3 years design engineering experience.

Must be eligible for SC clearance.

The Package:
Salary – £45,000-£64,000
37 hours a week – Monday-Thursday (8:30-17:00) and Friday (8:30-16:30)

Prime Responsibilities and Duties

Production of engineering concepts and technical solutions.

To produce engineering designs and associated engineering documents (such as drawings, calculations, reports) and ensure they are completed within the required time-scales.

To progress small and medium sized engineering projects, as allocated or working as part of a team on larger projects. In both cases.

Project work, in addition to design, will include all aspects of the design process such as draughting and testing of products.
