About the Role:
As Second in Department – Mathematics, you’ll support the Head of Maths in driving up standards, leading on curriculum development, and inspiring a love of learning across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You’ll take on a key leadership role within a collaborative and high-performing team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the strategic direction of the Maths department
- Teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach at KS5 depending on experience
- Leading on curriculum planning, assessment, and intervention
- Supporting, mentoring, and developing less experienced colleagues
- Using data to monitor student progress and drive achievement
- Contributing to enrichment opportunities and maths-focused extra-curricular activities
