Client: A regional contractor who has an excellent reputation in the local region and specialises in education, care homes, heritage, and commercial builds.
Project: My client is seeking a Site Manager with Groundworks experience to oversee the groundworks package of a new build care home project. Works will include piling, safety inspections, stockpiling into segregated areas, and identifying areas where spoil has originated from.
Responsibilities:
- Site Manager reporting into a Project Manager
- Management and coordination of Labour
- Sequencing Subcontractors
- Site safety, which will include but not be limited to running daily inductions for Labour and Subcontractors
- Management and coordination of deliveries
- Procurement of materials and plant
- Toolbox talks and inductions
- Site inspections
- Arranging call-offs for testing
The Successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role (Managing groundworks package)
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Relevant qualification in construction management or related field
- CSCS card & SMSTS & First Aid
- Recent workplace references
