BRIEF SUMMARY OF MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
As the Copy and Content Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering the marketing strategy for our client by creating clear and compelling copy for a variety of internal and external communications and campaigns. You will be responsible for defining and maintaining the brand's tone of voice, ensuring that all communications across the organisation are high-quality and consistent. This position requires collaboration with the marketing team and other departments to craft engaging content that resonates with target audiences.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with colleagues, members, and industry stakeholders to develop a robust understanding of the landscaping sector, ensuring technical accuracy and relevance in your writing.
- Produce clear and compelling copy that effectively communicates the Association’s strategy, engages members and potential members, and accurately represents the brand.
- Create content across a variety of channels in partnership with the marketing team, ensuring a cohesive message throughout all materials.
- Develop and uphold a consistent, appropriate tone of voice for the Association, ensuring alignment across all communications.
- Edit and proofread copy provided by colleagues or external sources as needed to ensure quality and adherence to brand standards.
- Take ownership of the quarterly journal, ‘Landscape News,’ managing content creation, layout, and distribution.
- Create and maintain a press release calendar to ensure timely production and dissemination of communications.
- Update and maintain a comprehensive marketing communications plan, ensuring that all content aligns with organizational objectives.
- Review existing marketing materials to guarantee that all information is current, accurate, and meets established guidelines.
- Stay abreast of copywriting and storytelling best practices, sharing insights and knowledge with colleagues to elevate the overall standard of copywriting across teams.
- Support marketing, membership, and policy departments during events to enhance content delivery and engagement with attendees.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in copywriting, content creation, or a similar role, preferably within a marketing or communications environment.
- Strong understanding of the marketing and communications landscape, particularly within the landscaping or related industries.
- Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
- Experience in managing publications or journals is highly desirable.
