This consultancy is looking for a Principal Civil Engineer (Infrastructure) to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. To be considered for this role you will live within a commutable distance to Leeds. The role:
- Maintain and develop technical or management capability through CPD, arranging and attending internal and external training seminars regularly and present key points to colleagues.
- Expected to work across different offices where required as part of a multidisciplinary team working on a project and to take direction and instruction from the lead engineer on these projects.
- Provide technical leadership in at least one of the key core skills of the business and hold a solid understanding of other core skills of the business, how they are coordinated with the capability of managing the coordination.
- Ability to manage external resources and suppliers and hold sufficient experience to challenge, where appropriate items such as designs, fees and programme and review terms and conditions.
- Ability to review concept designs and provide value engineering solutions to projects and present the benefits of solutions to clients and the wider design team.
- Understanding of the stages of design and the detailed output required at each stage within your chosen field of expertise.

- Engineer with extensive relevant workplace experience
- Prior knowledge of the full engineering / development process.
- Educated to degree level or HNC level with relevant further learning experience.
- Professionally qualified to IEng level or above with relevant professional body.
