Care home and private healthcare Chef's Environments: Care homes, Nursing homes, retirement villages and private healthcare clinics and institutes.

Location: SW London

Contract type: 40-48 hours per week

Hourly rate: Β£20-28 per hour paid weekly.

We are currently looking to recruit Enhanced DBS Chefs Manager, working within Care homes.

PLEASE NOTE: To be able to work within this environment you must have enhanced DBS covering adult workforce, within the last 12 months or on the update service. If you don't have a DBS, you must be willing to go through all the required checks with us to be provided with one. (This will be at a cost)

Main Duties

  • Work within as part of a team
  • Putting away stock and deliveries
  • Food orders
  • IDDSI Trained - Preparation of food including variety in diets which included texture diets, blended meals, and modified meals
  • Adhering to all relevant health and safety requirements
  • Cooking nutritious food within requirements
  • Ensure a clean as you go policy is being operated at all times
  • Management of 3 other chefs and 3-4 Catering Assistants
  • Previous experience as a Chef Manager working within care homes and nursing homes
  • Experience with the IDDSI framework to prepare and cook texture diets
  • Flexibility in shift patterns including weekends
  • Great communication and team work

Required Skills

  • Level 2 food hygiene certificate dated within the last 3 years or Level 3
  • Passion for food
  • A DBS (essential - as mentioned above)

Working Hours: You can choose your working rota each week for your team, the working hours will vary.
