About the role

Pay Rate – £16.10 per hour

Location – Leven

Shift Timings – Full time, 48 hours per week, must be fully flexible and able to work overtime

Must have a drivers license and vehicle!

To be ultimately responsible for the efficient and effective day to day security and to provide a safe and secure environment in support of excellent people care and leaving people with a good impression of the security service on site. To ensure a high-level standard of security is being delivered at all times and to protect people, property and products. To ensure security on site are compliant with Sodexo/Diageo standards and UK security legislations at all times.

Your main responsibilities may include:

  • Manage and motivate a team of security officers and agency officers across the two sites.
  • Provide security support and guidance to the General Services Manager and key client stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain site assignment instruction and risk assessment for site.
  • Ensure all shifts are covered.
  • Collate and maintain training records for all officers and ensuring training is delivered and in date.
  • Plan holiday and other absence cover utilising fully trained and competent staff.
  • Must be responsive to incidents on site and available if required.
  • Ensure all events on site are risk assessed and sufficient cover required is in place.
  • Ensure compliance with both Diageo and Sodexo processes.
  • Manage the third-party security supplier ensuring high quality standards always.
  • Train and develop officers and look to create a succession plan from within the core teams.

Main Assignments

  • To manage daily the effective operation of the security service on site.
  • Monitor the financial performance of all security contracts, and to conduct the necessary investigations and improvement plans in conjunction with the operational teams.
  • Control of use of third-party officers for cover.
  • To ensure adequate staffing levels across site including relief staff for planned and unplanned cover.
  • To process all holiday requests and cover with trained and competent officers.
  • Managing security staff attendance records including sickness and annual leave.
  • To train newly appointed security officers in line with our mandatory requirements and site-specific requirements.
  • Maintain standards of discipline and welfare amongst all team members in accordance with the company policies and values.
  • To liaise with Sodexo and Client personnel as necessary and as instructed to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective security service.
  • To prioritise tasks and respond to ad hoc requests.
  • To complete and submit report forms relating to any accident/incident.
  • To ensure the necessary internal security audits are undertaken and provide a detailed action plan and manage all non-compliance.
  • Understand client requirements and provide security solutions to meet and exceed needs and contribute to achieving customer objectives.
  • To ensure security respond immediately to intruder/panic/fire alarms upon activation.
  • To attend any major incident as required.
  • To ensure all incidents are recorded in the daily occurrence book.
  • Ensure all relevant internal and external paperwork is completed and audit to ensure accuracy.
  • To ensure the team follow the key management process with quarterly/annual audits carried out.
  • To ensure all necessary patrols are being conducted efficiently.
  • To report any faults or defects immediately to the help desk.
  • Ensure all security risk assessments are updated and trained out.
  • To collate and update all emergency response process on site.
  • To provide written reports and witness statements to the Police if required.
  • To enforce our security related procedures and SOP’s.
  • To monitor/manage the CCTV system, access control system, fire alarm system and panic alarm system.
  • To attend training courses as required.
  • Ensure site is compliant with the clients physical security standards.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance with all internal and external standards.
  • To ensure all officers are in correct uniform.
  • Provide monthly reports.

Requirements

  • DS or guarding Licenses required.
  • First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work – Essential (training available if successful).
  • To be able to develop and build good client & customer relationships - Essential.
  • Security experience with strong communication skills – Essential.
  • Strong security management experience within a manufacturing and gatehouse environments – Essential.
  • Relationship management, understanding of external and internal customer management - Essential.
  • Understanding of Integrated Facilities Management – Desirable.
  • To be able to prioritise and complete tasks - Essential.
  • To be able to respond to a variety of needs and work pressures created by the customer and colleagues – Essential.
  • Able to respond to and control emergencies - Essential.
  • A good knowledge of health and safety - Essential.
  • Able to operate Microsoft/Excel/PowerPoint and SharePoint - Essential.
  • Excellent communication skills - Essential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR - Essential.
