Job Title: Joiners Mate

Contract Length: 3 days work only (3rd-5th June)

Shifts: 09:00 – 18:00 (unless otherwise specified). Guaranteed 9 hours work per day.

Location: Stockton On Tees (TS19 0BJ)

Pay rate: £17.36 per hour

Main Duties

• Be able to bolt and unbolt Royal Mail sorting Frames.
• Handle A Frames, which are approximately 5 ft high, 6 ft wide, and weigh about 45 kg of steel construction.
• Use a drill to unscrew and screw bolts into Frames.
• Support colleagues in moving and repositioning sorting Frames.
• Under the direction of a Royal Mail lead, use Vinyl Wrap and Duct Tape to secure onto sorting Frames.
• Load and unload vehicles (large vans) at operational sites.

Key Skills

• Ability to follow clear instructions.
• Adherence to Safety Standards.
• Proficiency with tools such as Impact Drivers, Drills, Stanley Knives, and measuring tools.
• Demonstrate agility and adaptability with support from the Royal Mail Lead.
• Physically fit.
• Punctuality and flexibility, depending on work requirements.
