Jon Title: Resource Manager (Finance Change)

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Pay Rate: £650 per day via Umbrella inside IR35

Contract Length: 6 months (Hybrid working – 3 days on site)

About the Role:

Our high-profile retail client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Resource Manager to join their Finance Change team. This role is crucial in ensuring that they have the right balance of internal and external resources to meet the demands of their Finance Change portfolio. You will be responsible for resource planning, forecasting, and managing the hiring process to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Statements of work.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery team to plan and predict resource needs.
  • Maintain a clear view of current and future staffing requirements.
  • Streamline the hiring process to place the best candidates efficiently.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, internal moves, and leavers.
  • Act as a point of escalation for any resourcing issues.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates on resource management to the Programme Director and Leadership Team.
  • Identify and address resource conflicts, skill gaps, and key person dependencies.
  • Communicate and log all resourcing risks and issues.
  • Manage contract renewals for contractors and services.
  • Prepare data for monthly Resource Board meetings.
  • Work closely with Programme Managers, Leadership Team, Managed Service Providers, Recruitment agencies, and other stakeholders.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of capacity management.
  • Financial acumen and experience with financial planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Excellent data analysis and report preparation skills.
  • Proven track record of working with senior business leaders.
  • Experience in large corporate financial budgeting and planning processes.
  • Background in large-scale recruitment drives.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Results-oriented and customer-focused.
