Relief Support Worker

Overview

We are seeking experienced, calm, and resourceful relief support workers for the Durham region. You will provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs, helping them achieve personal development.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with people we support.
• Support a range of activities and ensure the individual’s physical well-being.
• Address frustrations and respond in a constructive, person-centred way.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience with learning disabilities and complex needs is essential.
• Positive communication, engagement, and unconditional positive regard for the people we support.
• Confidence working within a positive behaviour support framework, taking responsibility, and developing as a skilled practitioner.

• Car drivers are preferred to transport service users to community activities.
