Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker? Are you a welcoming and friendly individual who is looking for a stable and experienced team within a Fostering Service? Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Stockport Council's Connected Carers Fostering Team. This is a part time role, offering a fantastic pay rate of £35 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Candidates will be dealing with complex assessments.
- Relatives and friends can ask to be assessed and approved as foster carers (for that child).
- If the child needs to be placed straight away and there is not time for a full assessment, the relative (or other connected person) can sometimes be approved as a temporary foster carer.
- You will be involved in securing plans of permanency for children and contribute to the wider offer for our cared for children.
- You will be involved in multi-agency working and work closely with the cared for children's team.
- You will have experience and extensive knowledge in the Fostering Minimum standards and The Fostering Regulation Services (England) 2011.
- You will be a part of an exciting team and will play a wider part of offering support, supervision and training to the whole of the foster carers, alongside your own caseload.
- This rewarding role will be helping to make sure our children and young people experience foster carers who are best placed to meet their care needs.
- You will have the right values, and enthusiasm for relationship strengths-based social work with children and families.

- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Current registration with Social Work England
