To manage the smooth running of Engineering Stores and maintain a good level of stock to support Piramal Morpeth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for a stockholding of £1.8 million of consumable and strategic spare parts.
- Develop and maintain the efficient procurement of all engineering materials in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Establish and review engineering supply chain performance and requirements to review sources, price, lead times and quality standards.
- Liaise with procurement to assist managing the engineering Maintenance Reliability and Operations (MRO) contract.
- Participate and support departmental objectives, projects and cost reduction activities in order to minimize risk, optimize cost of ownership for engineering parts in the support of manufacturing operations.
- Lead and drive engineering store operational excellence program.
Critical Tasks:
- Critical Engineering Stores is managed and maintained to reflect 100% accuracy with SAP data.
- Review inventory items with departmental managers to ensure the correct data reflected in SAP (location, price, min max etc), this is to be managed by Cycle Counting of all listed spares.
- Management of none stocked engineering item quotes.
- Invoicing queries to be managed and resolved to enable engineering invoice match rate to meet target.
- All engineering spares entering site have correct supporting documentation where requested by area manager (COSHH, Insurance Certificates, etc.).
- Exception reporting when stock is not available and the development and implementation of corrective actions.
- Stakeholder communication in terms of delivery forecast, specification or price deviations.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Relevant and demonstrable experience of managing an engineering stores function in a fast paced environment, ideally within the Pharmaceutical Sector. Stock control experience.
