IT Asset Manager

IT Asset Manager – Remote (1-2 days p/month in Portsmouth) – Software and hardware background – £40,000 – £60,000 DOE

Are you passionate about leveraging technology to maximize value, minimize risks, and streamline operations? Robert Half on the hunt for an IT Asset Manager who will play a vital role in ensuring our client gets the most out of its IT investments while maintaining compliance, reducing costs, and driving operational efficiency.

This is a predominately remote role with 1-2 days month working from client offices in Portsmouth

Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial and regular audits to ensure accurate asset data.
• Enhancing and managing the IT asset database (ServiceNow CMDB).
• Maintaining a detailed inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
• Developing and enforcing IT asset management policies and best practices.

Essential Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of hardware and software lifecycle management.
• Experience with discovery tools and automation for asset management.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and IT Asset Management tools (preferably ServiceNow).
• Solid knowledge of software licensing agreements and compliance needs.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
