Job Opportunity: Street Scene Operative

We are currently seeking hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to join our client\’s team as Street Scene Operatives. This is a great opportunity for ongoing work.

• Pay: £13.47 per hour, with overtime paid at £20.20 per hour
• Hours: Varying hours, including some weekends
• Weekly hours: 37

Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensure residents of Cardiff comply with waste service provisions
• Encourage proper waste presentation and enhance recycling through education and enforcement
• Investigate incorrect waste presentation and storage according to County Council policy, including waste storage, presentation issues, and deposits on adopted highways
• Conduct LEQ patrols for offences such as dog control violations, abandoned shopping trolleys, and littering
• Make enforcement decisions based on evidence, issue formal notices and fixed penalty notices, and prepare prosecution cases when necessary
• Perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, and walking during patrols
• Work outdoors and indoors, with exposure to disagreeable conditions like hazardous waste and adverse weather
