The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to work across a specialist product range, targeting key end-users, and system integrators. This hybrid role blends technical sales with strategic product ownership—giving you the chance to influence product development, build supplier relationships, and shape go-to-market strategy.
You’ll be a product ambassador—engaging directly with both internal stakeholders and external customers. From handling technical enquiries and running product training, to negotiating prices and scoping new opportunities, you’ll play a vital part in expanding market presence and driving growth.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Champion a dedicated portfolio of motors, drives, and linear products
- Handle technical queries and provide product advice at an engineer-to-engineer level
- Develop customer relationships through targeted visits and project-based selling
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and monitor delivery performance
- Identify new market opportunities and support with strategic growth initiatives
- Create product copy, manage online content, and support marketing campaigns
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to leverage market insights and CRM data
- Attend trade shows and supplier meetings (UK & international travel included)
- Continuously analyse product performance and develop strategies for improvement
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in a Technical Sales Engineer role (or similar)
- Technical qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or similar)
- Proven ability to understand complex technical products and applications
- A proactive, self-starting mindset with strong commercial awareness
- Prior experience in a technical sales or product management environment (advantageous)
- Comfortable using Excel, PowerPoint and CRM/analytical tools
