The Vacancy

The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) is a registered charity that has been transforming the lives of people affected by drugs and alcohol misuse for over 40 years.

East Riding Partnership (ERP) – a partnership between ADS and Humber Teaching NHS Trust. It has three hubs in Hull, Bridlington, and Goole. The multi-disciplinary team, led by a consultant, provides community treatment services including aftercare, youth services, community rehabilitation, support for image and performance-enhancing drugs/steroids, and a team supporting service users and carers through volunteers and peer mentors.

It is an exciting time to work in the drug and alcohol field, with new career opportunities emerging.

This role offers the chance to join an innovative team in Hull, supporting service users with complex needs and their families regarding substance use, including alcohol. Responsibilities include assessing needs from a person-centred, strength-based perspective, with a focus on recovery and empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives.

Applicants should have relevant experience in substance misuse or Health and Social Care, and GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent.

During the traineeship, successful candidates will undertake an academic qualification and produce a portfolio demonstrating the competencies required of a Recovery Worker.
