About this opportunity:

We are CTOT, Cumberland Council’s in-house Transport Operational Team and we are looking to recruit a number of drivers across Cumberland who can drive a minibus and hold a D1 driving licence entitlement. This is an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling role and you will contribute to the delivery of a quality service to our passengers. Candidates should be flexible, capable of providing a high standard of passenger safety and care throughout the journey and committed to delivering Home to School transport. Enhanced DBS clearance is required; full training and uniform is provided.

We have a range of vacancies with a minimum of 20 hours per week on a permanent and also Casual Relief (zero hours) basis. All contracts offered are Monday to Friday, Term time only on a split shift basis (approx. 07.15-09.30 and 14.30-16.45).

Candidates who are successful through the interview process will also be required to pass a driving assessment to be held on the same day of interview at our Dalston Operational Depot, Barras Lane, Dalston, Carlisle.

  • Dalston: Up to 10 permanent vacancies for Drivers holding Category D1 Licence, working from Dalston Depot, ranging from 20 hours per week, term time only and up to 5 Drivers holding D1 Licence, on a Casual Relief Basis.
  • Lillyhall: Up to 10 permanent vacancies for Drivers holding D1 Licence, working from Lillyhall Depot, ranging from 20 hours per week, term time only and up to 5 casual vacancies for Drivers holding D1 Licence on a Casual Relief Basis.
