Join our dedicated and passionate team as a Multi-Disciplinary Veterinary Care Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in delivering the highest level of care to our patients. In this role, you'll assist with tasks in both our High Dependency Unit and surgery/ward settings, ensuring excellent hospital service and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Walking patients, feeding, kennel cleaning, and laundry.
- Ordering supplies, cleaning and preparing surgical theatres, sterilising instruments.
- Completing patient treatment sheets, admitting patients onto the system, recording weights, and updating the ward board.
- Maintaining infection prevention control throughout our hospital.
- Supporting our nurses and clinicians daily.

What Skills You'll Need
- Experience in animal care or handling, ideally with relevant Animal Care qualifications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent time management, and attention to detail are essential.
- Effective communication, adaptability, initiative, professionalism, resilience, and flexibility to work additional hours are also required.
Working Pattern
This full-time role involves 40 hours per week, with five 8-hour shifts on a rota between 07:00 and 20:30. You will work one in six weekends (with time off in lieu) and cover two bank holidays per year.
