The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled individual to join the Early Years Team. The role involves supporting early learning and childcare providers within the local authority, voluntary and private sectors, early stages of primary, and out-of-school care staff, as well as parents and children, particularly in relation to day-care and behaviour support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational management of the daycare service, including financial management of the daycare budget.
  • Developing and implementing training programmes related to behaviour support.
  • Planning and delivering staff development and parental training programmes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualification in childcare/education, community education, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in childcare and education settings.
  • Knowledge of out-of-school care groups, voluntary and private childcare, including childminders, education providers, community groups, and other agencies.
  • Experience working with children and families facing challenging issues.
  • Understanding of the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 and the role of SSSC.
  • Experience applying strategies to support children's behaviour and knowledge of effective training resources.
  • Knowledge of parenting programmes and their positive impacts.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse professionals.
  • Ability to motivate and supervise staff.
